‘9 am to 6 pm’ work life is not meant for everyone.
Very few people dare to step out of comfort zone and start their own business. One of the examples who followed her heart is Ms. Samrudhi Hudke, an ex-tax consultant who completed her graduation in Entrepreneurship from Symbiosis. She worked in a CA firm for a year but due to monotonous and tedious nature of work, she was in the state of a dilemma about continuing a fat salary job or starting her own venture. She firmly believed that every woman should be Financially Independent.
Samruddhi decided to start her new venture in the field of decorative glassware miniature with the support of her family business. She found an excellent low-cost investment opportunity in manufacturing glassware miniature as her father has been into manufacturing laboratory glassware products for last 24 years. These laboratory glass wares are used to perform laboratory experiments for R&D in various colleges and scientific institutions. The innovative idea that struck Samrudhi was ‘Why not change the shape of the glass product to create various beautiful home decor accessories!’
And on 2nd March 2018, HUDKE – A Decorative Glassware Miniature was started. On monthly basis, they are regularly getting 40-45 orders for Gifting and Home Temple Décor items. This has helped to increase employment of skilled labours in field of hand blown glassware manufacturing. They create Glass Products only from branded glass material which is durable & heat resistant. As glass products can be recycled as they are eco-friendly.
Samruddhi smiled after remembering few roadblocks she had come across in this journey of entrepreneurship. She shared “After I created these products, I shared the pics with my friends and family members but every time they may not be your customers. You need to increase your reach to make your brand popular .Thinking from long term perspective, I decided to experiment the selling of these decorative products through Facebook & Instagram.”
One of primary essentials which Samruddhi learnt is the striking the right balance between Patience and Time Management. I believe that patience is a strong weapon required to conquer the success. Second Principle of her business is Customers First. No matter what the time is in the clock, always be available to them whenever they need your products. Customer satisfaction is the key of survival and growth of any business.
